The last Shogun was the 15th Shogun, Tokugawa Yoshinobu.

I recently received a request from a descendant of the Tokugawa family to collect family registers and historical materials, and had the opportunity to see Tokugawa Yoshinobu’s family register. He was a long-lived person for that time, living until 1913, so in fact, a family register was compiled for him, just like your ancestors.
He is a historical figure that many people know, but just like with regular family registers, only direct descendants (with hierarchical connections) can obtain a family register.

After collecting the family register, I looked at a huge amount of historical materials stored in a certain university research lab and collected copies.

When it comes to historical materials on the Tokugawa family in Mito and the feudal domains that existed in Ibaraki Prefecture during the Edo period, the Ibaraki Prefectural Museum of History has a large number of historical materials in its collection. I also conducted research here and was able to collect a large number of historical materials.

We have created an English page for people living overseas who have roots in Japan.

We will research your ancestors, family crests, and create family trees for those with roots in Japan.
